Additional Restricted Data Files Released for 2010

Five restricted data files derived from the 2010 Core and Exit interviews have been updated and are ready for release to qualified restricted data users. These files include: Cancer Site, Race and Ethnicity, Date of Birth, Exit Date of Death and Date of Interview.

Restricted Cross-Wave Industry-Occupation File Updated

An updated version of the Cross-Wave Industry-Occupation file is now available. The file now contains detailed respondent-level industry and occupation information for interviewing years 1992 through 2010.

Restricted Cross-Wave Geographic Information Files (State and Detail) Updated

Updated versions of the Cross-Wave Geographic Information files are now available. Two levels of detail are available: state and detail. The detail file contains county, ZIP code and census tract data in addition to state information.

New Modules for HRS 2014 Invited

The Health and Retirement Study is soliciting experimental modules for the 2014 Wave. Priority will be given to modules that enhance HRS content and provide the greatest overall benefit to the research community. The HRS investigators will make the final decision about which modules to include in each wave of interviews.

U-M Health and Retirement Study adds genetic data to NIH database

The Health and Retirement Study has added genetic information from 12,500 consenting participants to the online genetics database of the National Institutes of Health. The genetic data was posted today to dbGAP, the database of Genotypes and Phenotypes, an online genetic database developed by the NIH.
