Research and Projects

Dr. Wallace is interested in the occurrence and prevention of chronic illnesses and disabilities in older persons. He has worked in the areas of prevention of coronary artery disease, stroke, osteoarthritis, dementia, osteoporotic fractures and various common cancers. In addition to the HRS, he has participated in trials of the prevention of disease and disability and in the common chronic conditions of post-menopausal women
