RAND Enhanced Fat Files Release for the 2010 Core Wave (Final, v4.0)

June 25, 2014

The RAND Enhanced Fat Files Release for the 2010 Core Wave (Final, v4.0) is now available.

This data product was produced by the RAND Center for the Study of Aging with support from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the Social Security Administration (SSA). The RAND Enhanced Fat Files contain most of the raw variables from each questionnaire section, collapsing them into a single respondent-level dataset for each wave. The files are easily merged with one another and with the RAND HRS dataset, which can expedite the preparation of analytic files from the HRS study. It was developed from HRS 2010 Core (Final, V4.0) and Tracker 2010 (Final, V1.0).

Note: Be sure to check the HRS File Merge Cross-Reference Table for up-to-date information on the restricted data merge status of this data set.

If you find any problems with these data products, please contact RANDHRSHelp@rand.org.
