HRS Biomarker 2006 Data (Final, Version 1.0)

April 17, 2013

The HRS Biomarker 2006 Data Release (Final, Version 1.0) is now available.

The Biomarker Data (Final, Version 1.0) from the 2006 and 2008 waves consist of information derived from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), a national longitudinal study of the economic, health, marital, family status, and public and private support systems of older Americans. The National Institute on Aging provided funding (NIH U01 AGO9740), with supplemental support from the Social Security Administration. The Institute for Social Research (ISR) Survey Research Center (SRC) at the University of Michigan conducted the survey. Specifically, these data were part of the physical measures and biomarkers portion of the 2006 and 2008 Core data collection waves.

These files are considered Sensitive Health Data and are restricted to use by approved users. Separate Data Use Agreements are required for each wave of biomarker data.

Please refer to the corresponding data documentation file for more information on the background and file structure of these data.

Note: Be sure to check the HRS File Merge Cross-Reference Table for up-to-date information on the restricted data merge status of this data set.

If you find any problems with the data, please report them to us via the Help Desk, or by e-mail to hrsquestions@umich.edu.
