HRS Tracker 2010 (Early, Version 1.0)

September 27, 2011

The HRS Tracker 2010 (Early, Version 1.0) is now available.

The HRS 2010 Tracker file contains one observation for each individual who has ever been eligible to be interviewed by HRS in any wave. For each person, it contains several fixed demographic characteristics and a large number of wave-specific variables indicating interview status, and information about if, how, and when an interview was conducted. The HRS 2010 Tracker file also contains wave-specific sample weights for HRS households, respondents, and nursing home residents. A detailed description of the data is provided in the accompanying documentation file. There have been no changes to the HRS Cross-Wave Master ID file of December 2009.

The HRS 2010 Tracker Early Release (Version 1.0) contains all cases of the continuing cohorts (AHEAD,CODA,HRS,WB,EBB), comprising 31,169 sample lines. Data from the Middle Baby Boomer cohort will be released at a future date. The HRS 2010 Tracker Early Release contains weights for the main sample as well as physical measures and biomarkers.

Note: Be sure to check the HRS File Merge Cross-Reference Table for up-to-date information on the restricted data merge status of this data set.

If you find any problems with the data, please report them to us via the Help Desk, or by e-mail to hrsquestions@umich.edu.
