Exact Date of Birth, Death and Interview Released as Restricted Datasets

To protect respondent confidentiality, HRS only releases month/year for interview date, birth date, and date of death. For researchers who need exact date information (MMDDYYYY), the following restricted datasets have been created.

• Respondent Date of Birth
• Exit Date of Death
• Date of Interview (1992-2008)

These data products match Tracker 2008, and are uniquely identified by Household Identifier (HHID) and Person Number (PN).
