The 2008 Early Release Version 1.0 contains data from all of the sections of the 2008 Core questionnaire, including physical measures, blood pressure and psychosocial data, but does not include results of blood tests. Those assay results will be released separately.

What's New in Version 2:

  • Corrections to the problems mentioned in the data alert of September 17, 2009 have been incorporated in this release. (In Section LB of the 2008 Early Release codebook, the question text and labels for variables LLB008C - LLB008G were incorrect. However, the data are correct and match the paper questionnaire.)
  • The following variables, which were left out of the Version 1.0 release, are now included: LB024M FATHER USUAL OCCUPATION–MASKED; LJ060M PREVIOUS WAVE WORK DONE – MASKED; LJ062M CURRENT WORK DONE – MASKED.
  • The Version 1.0 release included only the first of the asset reconciliations mentioned in the Section U data. Version 2 has restored all of the mentions.
  • A codeframe was changed in the following variables: LLB039a; LLB039b; LLB039c; LLB039d; LLB039e; LLB039f; LLB039g.
